Be a dancing queen. It’s good for you.

Sitting back and listening to music is fun, right? We think so. Especially with some friends on a Saturday night while you have a beer.

Music is good for you, as we told you before.  But so is dancing.

Studies have shown that dancing improves your brain function. There are numerous physical benefits to dancing, including better coordination and flexibility, increased muscle strength, improved conditioning of your heart and lungs, improved balance, and weight management. But there are mental benefits too. Better social skills, improved confidence, and general psychological well being.

Now if you can get all of that on a Saturday night, in addition to having a beer, we think that’s a good thing. And don’t wait for us, why not start now? Take a listen to Jean ‘n Classics and dance along.

Is your body stiff from working at a desk all day? Dance. Are you feeling down because of the long winter? Dance. What about your heart, has it had a good workout lately? Dance.

Go ahead, be a dancing queen. And come and join us on Saturday, April 25th, for the music of ABBA.

Dance, sing, listen. It’s all good for you. And it’s good for families too that are helped by Habitat for Humanity, with all funds raised at the concert going to help build houses for local working families.
