New Canadians, Cielo and her husband Manuel have two children, Juan aged 18 and Monica aged 16. The family moved to Canada in 2005 from Colombia.

When asked why they applied to buy a Habitat home Manuel said, “It will give my children a chance to have independence, having a place to call our own. Better living conditions and more space.”
