Community Partners

Habitat community partners the Knights of Columbus volunteers providing lunch on a Habitat build site

Habitat Heartland Ontario is fortunate to have great community partners that support us in a number of ways. Knights of Columbus Council #12820 is one of those local partners. The Knights of Columbus (KofC.org) is a Catholic fraternity that has almost 2 million members globally. The organization has aligned with and worked closely with Habitat Canada for many years.

Council #12820 is based in St. Michael’s Church, London. They have been supporting Habitat Heartland Ontario for the past four years by donating lunch for the volunteers on Habitat Build Days.

Tommy and Vina Wang (pictured) have been working together to prepare, deliver, and even serve lunches to the hard working volunteers on the London build site. It is always a great day on site when Tommy and Vina arrive to provide lunch!

When asked about why they support Habitat, Keith Rodrigues, Grand Knight of Council 12820, said “We are very pleased and honoured to have the opportunity for us to be able to support Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario and help you in the great work that you do in our community.”
