Donations

Thank you for your interest in donating to the Habitat for Humanity ReStores. Our ReStores rely on your donations to keep our shelves stocked!

Our ReStores are always happy to accept new and gently used items. We accept donations of furniture, appliances, décor, building materials, tools, and much more* (see a comprehensive list of acceptable items at the bottom of this page). If in doubt, contact your local ReStore – we love to be able to say “yes” to donations and hate to see anything good go to waste!     

Please note: We are following all provincially mandated guidelines for our operations, and that includes changes to our donations procedure. Our COVID-19 protocols mean that all pick-ups and drop-offs are currently contactless.

Donation Drop-offs:

Donations are accepted during our hours of operation, which have changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Check your local ReStore’s hours of operation here.  Our ReStores would appreciate a phone call in advance to confirm whether your donation will be accepted.

To keep our procedure contactless, ReStore staff will not be allowed to assist in unloading your donation, so please bring someone to help you if needed. 

As always, our ReStores are able to provide tax receipts for any donations estimated at $100+. 

*There are times when we cannot accept certain items due to age, condition, space and marketability. And unfortunately, we are unable to accept donations of scrap metal or e-waste at this time.


Donation Pickups

Our truck is currently off the road. We are not scheduling donation pickups until the Ontario Government moves into stage 1 of the 2021 reopening plan.
