Tachane Foundation Donates $75,000 to Habitat Heartland’s Indigenous Build on Munsee-Delaware Nation Traditional Territory

Tachane Foundation is a charitable foundation established by the Sutherland family. They have partnered with Habitat for Humanity Canada and local Habitats across the country to empower more people through access to decent and affordable housing. President of the Tachane Foundation Rusty Sutherland, and his wife Tammy, are dedicated supporters of Habitat for Humanity Canada’s Indigenous Housing Partnership.

This year, Habitat Heartland is excited to announce a $75,000 gift from the Tachane Foundation that will support our Munsee-Delaware Nation Indigenous Build on Traditional Territory for four Indigenous families!

Tachane Foundation was one of the first supporters of the Indigenous Housing Partnership since its launch in 2007. Through the Foundation’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada, local Habitats and Indigenous communities, Tachane Foundation has donated over $1 million in support of IHP since 2010. Their contribution has helped more than 50 Indigenous families move into new Habitat homes in urban areas, on Traditional Territories and in remote Northern Ontario First Nation.

Thank you to the Tachane Foundation for your support of Habitat Heartland’s Indigenous Build, and your continued support of Habitat Canada. The Foundation’s gift will truly make a difference in the lives of four Indigenous families living on Traditional Territory through access to affordable, safe and decent housing solutions.
