Customer Service/
Merchandising

Assist customers with inquiries about our products and services, and ensure the sales floor presentation is at its best. Retail experience is desirable, but training is available.

Warehouse Support/
Processing

Work with staff and volunteers to handle and process donations for sale. Assist with loading/unloading trucks and customer vehicles, pricing products, and marking sold inventory.

Product Testing/
Woodshop

Help to test and revitalize items before they reach the sales floor. This role requires knowledge of household products, basic electrical and plumbing experience, and proficiency with power tools. Woodworking skills are a bonus.

Build Volunteers
Crew Member

Our homes are built primarily by volunteers like you! Whether you have years of construction experience or none, there's a place for you to learn on our Build Crew. Partial and full day shifts available on active developments.

Crew Leader

Our Crew Leaders are able to motivate, teach, and lead a group of volunteers in a construction task for the day. If you have construction experience, strong team leadership skills, and can contribute a full day’s work, this position may be for you.

Site Host

Site Hosts play a key role in welcoming and registering volunteers on arrival, and assist in demonstrating health and safety procedures. Must have strong communication and organization skills, and an appreciation for all volunteers.

Administrative Volunteers
Office Assistant

Office assistants handle tasks like data entry, database management, online research, organizing collateral, answering phones, and responding to emails. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, strong language and computer skills, and office experience are assets.

Outreach

Outreach volunteers promote Habitat through community flyer distribution, marketing support, and welcoming new volunteers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are ideal for this role.

Events

Events are held regularly across all six Heartland counties. Commitment, locations, and roles vary. Volunteers assist with setup, registration, fundraising, and representing Habitat.
