Ivey Social Impact Day 2018

Ivey Social Impact Day is one of the many creative projects developed by the MBA class to positively impact the community around them. This initiative is part of Ivey’s philosophy of fostering ties to the local community through building bridges. This year 120 Ivey students partnered with Habitat for Humanity, Reforest London, My Sister’s Place, The Humane Society, and Youth Opportunities Unlimited. Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario gladly received assistance from 40 of those students to our London Build Site, as well as both of our London ReStores and the St Thomas ReStore.

Students got a chance to paint, and put up siding on the construction site, while in the ReStores they assisted with sorting, packing and learning new skills in the product testing area.

We are also in partnership with Ivey through their Ivey Connects program which is an internal initiative working to inspire students at the Ivey Business School to contribute to the societies in which they live in. Students choose a charity of their choice and during their school year, they dedicate their time and efforts to help with fundraising and building awareness for the organization.

With programs like this available, it’s no wonder we live in such an inspiring community.

Thank you Ivey for your continued support! We look forward to working with you over the upcoming school year!
