National Bank Partners with Habitat

National Bank Partners with Habitat for Humanity to Build a Home on Forbes Street in London, Ontario

A leading player in the country’s economy since 1859, National Bank is committed to promoting the well-being of the communities it serves across Canada. In 2019, National Bank partnered with Habitat as the title partner for Karin’s Habitat home, one of the final two builds of the 17-home Manor Park Project.

National Bank employees along with their friends and family from Southwestern Ontario provided great support through their multiple Build Days on the job site. They worked on the final two homes helping to install insulation, hang and finish drywall, paint walls, and a variety of other tasks!

Karin’s home is now complete, and her family has begun to settle in to their new reality, thanks to the generosity of National Bank’s partnership. In Karin’s words, “As a single mom to three beautiful, intelligent children, I struggle to give them everything they need. The idea of owning my own home is (was) all but a daydream. My Habitat home means I can finally put down roots, refer to this as home (not a rental), grow old in it, watch my family expand, breathe and enjoy the little things we take for granted.”

Thank you National Bank for supporting Habitat’s vision of helping families build strength, stability, and self reliance through affordable homeownership.
