National Volunteer Week 2023

In 2022, over 430 volunteers contributed more than 40,350 hours to Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario and our vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.

The theme of National Volunteer Week this year is “Volunteering Weaves Us Together.”

Along with thousands of other not-for-profits supported by volunteers from coast to coast, we celebrate their collective impact: through their kindness, generosity and commitment to volunteering, we weave our lives together. By g
etting involved we find friendship, develop trust, and link our relationships. Threading these connections, we contribute towards the same goals. Sharing our time, talent and energy strengthen the fabric of our community.

“Each time you work in the ReStore, on a build site, or in our administrative offices, you help us build strength, stability and independence for people in the community. We rely on you, and you always come through for us. We are sincerely grateful for your contribution. As a volunteer, you help us fulfill our vision; a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Thank you so much for all you do, and Happy National Volunteer Week!”
